How It Works

Start with the situation.

Jumpcity is a property transition practice. Rather than beginning with a predetermined transaction, we start by understanding what's happening, help identify the paths worth considering, and connect you with appropriate professionals when specialized execution is needed.

Assessment first. Path second. Transaction third.

What is a property transition?

A property transition is any moment where life changes and property is involved — and the right next step isn't immediately obvious. That might mean selling a house, relocating to another state, handling an inherited property, helping an aging parent, downsizing, dealing with a property that needs repairs, or simply deciding what to do when you're not sure yet.

Most real estate conversations begin with a transaction: “Are you selling?” Jumpcity begins earlier, with the situation itself. Some people who start here will eventually list their home. Others will explore a direct-sale option, coordinate a relocation, or work through complications first. And some will decide that no transaction is needed right now.

The Process

A simple, human process.

The assessment doesn't produce an instant recommendation. It gives us enough context to have a real conversation — one that helps clarify your goals, constraints, possible paths, any missing information, and the next action worth taking.

01

Share your situation

Complete a short assessment about the property, your priorities, and your timing. There's no need to know the answer before you start.

02

Talk through the options

Jumpcity reviews what you share before the conversation, then we discuss the relevant paths and tradeoffs together.

03

Agree on the next step

Together we identify an appropriate action — or an introduction to a professional equipped to carry it forward.

What the assessment does.

The Property Transition Assessment asks about your situation, the property, your priorities, and your timing. It takes about three minutes, it's guided, and it carries no obligation. You can select multiple answers where they apply, and you can add notes in your own words.

Your answers are reviewed by a person before the conversation begins. That review is what lets us start with context instead of asking you to repeat your story.

What happens during the consultation.

The consultation is a conversation, not a sales pitch. We talk through what you shared, the relevant paths, and the tradeoffs each one involves. The goal is to clarify your goals, constraints, possible paths, any missing information, and the next action worth taking.

You won't be asked to commit to a transaction during this conversation. If a path makes sense, we discuss it. If something needs to happen first, we identify it. If the right answer is more time or a different professional, we say so.

How possible paths are identified.

Depending on your situation, the next step may involve preparing for the market, coordinating a relocation, exploring direct-sale options, or addressing complications first. These aren't products you have to choose between — they're directions that may emerge from the assessment.

How context is carried forward.

When specialized execution is needed, we connect you with the professionals equipped to carry the next step forward — and we carry the context we've already established with you. You shouldn't have to start your story over every time another professional becomes involved.

Jumpcity does not replace attorneys, title professionals, contractors, or other specialists. Its role is to help identify when specialized expertise is needed and carry the context forward when an introduction is appropriate.

Something changed. We're ready to listen.

Begin with a short Property Transition Assessment. Tell us about the situation, and we'll help you understand the paths that make sense. No pressure. No predetermined destination.
